SEND and Inclusion
Welcome to the Inclusion area.
At Bapchild and Tonge we recognise each pupil for being the unique individual that they are. Should your child have an additional need/s or a disability we will do our upmost to ensure their personalised plan reflects all of their specific needs. We work hard to offer learning environments and opportunities in which all children can succeed and every member of staff is responsible for supporting the needs of our SEND pupils. It is important to us to build a collaborative partnership between parents/carers and we are always available to discuss any concerns our families have. Below is some further guidance on key areas of our SEND provision;
SEND Information Report
This outlines the way in which we structure our SEN support at our school. It discusses the processes in which we assess, plan, do and review as well as how we work with our families. This documents is reviewed and updated every year. Please find a copy of our SEND Information Report below.
SEND Policy
The school Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policy has been written in light of the Code of Practice that came into force on 1st September 2014. The Code of Practice can be found on the web at
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/send-code-of-practice-0-to-25. A link to our policy can be found at the bottom of this page.
Accessibility Plan Policy
This provides more detail on how we prevent and remove barriers within our school. This document is reviewed every three years, as instructed by the Department of Education. It is an opportunity for us to think about how every pupil accesses our school and its curriculum. As well as thinking proactively about changes that may need to happen. You can find our policy below.
