Year 2’s Yellow Tea Party
Friday morning we had a tea party with only yellow foods it was delicious!
Colour Science Experiments
In class we have made yellow cornflour slime. We mixed cornflour, water and food colouring. The children enjoyed playing with the slime. We also used coloured water and tissues to mix colours.
Using colour magic
Year 2 created yellow pictures using colour magic.
Working with Year 5
We worked with Year 5 in pairs to create purple and yellow pictures. Yellow and purple are thought to compliment each other.
Making our class canvas
We painted the background with different tones of yellow. We made the sun with different textures of yellow paper.
The Tate Modern
We went on our school trip to the Tate Modern Art Gallery in London. We had such a wonderful day and saw many fantastic pieces of Art.
Tie Dye T-Shirts
We have tie dyed our t-shirts yellow. We created patterns and wrapped the t-shirts in elastic bands. Don’t they look amazing!
Kadinsky’s Concentric Circles
We mixed paints together to create different tones of yellow.
Van Gough’s Sunflowers
As a class we researched the artist Van Gough. We coloured in sun flowers using different shades of yellow. We used crayons, pastels, colouring pencils and felt tip pens.
