DT Week
DT Week
During DT week we designed and built our own battery operated moving cars. We spent time looking into the history of cars from the past. We looked into the science of how cars operate. We also went to visit our local car garage and got see some brand new electric cars! We even got to sit in one 😁.
On the Wednesday we mixed with Year 4 and Year 6 to start building our racing cars. We spent the rest of the week testing them, making adjustments, creating a body, evaluating them and making any final amendments ready for race day on the Friday. We gathered together as a whole school and had a race track in the school. 🏎🏁
There were some prizes given for the winner from the whole school, the runner up, team work certificates and a prize for the best looking car.
